Harry and Meghan are visiting New York, the first to see the observatory!

The Duchess and Duke of Sussex met with New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, his family and Governor Kathy Hochul on Thursday. This is their first official public appearance since they moved to the United States last year.

Its goal is to support vaccination against Covid-19. The Sussex will be joined by several other famous faces, including Jennifer Lopez, Doja Cat, Lizzo, Billie Eilish and Camila Cabello. Together, they want to build trust in vaccines and provide them for anyone who is interested. The unique concert will last 24 hours and will be broadcast worldwide.

The pair was perfectly matched, although Meghan was dressed too much for the 26-degree heat that prevailed in New York. She was wearing black wide pants, a turtleneck, and an elegant navy wool coat by Emporio Armani. Her hair was pulled back into a smooth bun. Prince Harry and his wife were in perfect harmony in a black suit, white shirt and black tie.

It was not known in advance that they would arrive in New York two days earlier and take part in other officialities. There were only a handful of journalists among those invited. The couple’s trip is the first ever joint visit to the city. Meghan was last in New York in 2019 at her baby-shower party before the birth of her son Archie.
