‘Uncensored’, the eroticism of Gian Paolo Barbieri on stage in Milan

The male body in all its strength and sensuality, in an exhibition that gives voice to the curiosity of human features and a charge of elegant provocation. Erotic and sensual shots are those of ‘Uncensored’, the exhibition by Gian Paolo Barbieri, which debuted in the spaces of via Lattanzio, in Milan, on the occasion of the fashion week. Organized by the Gian Paolo Barbieri Foundation in collaboration with Cz Fotografia by Catia Zucchetti and Manintown by Federico Poletti, the exhibition will be open until 25 September next. The photographic journey retraces some of the salient stages of the photographer’s career, between the 90s and 2000s, examining what for Barbieri was a constant search: man. Always attracted to the study of the human body, external and internal, Barbieri investigated, investigated and observed the soul, first in his trilogy on the tropics, then in his study on eroticism. Barbieri’s nudes, never vulgar, rather celebrate the classic canons of beauty and nature in all its forms and expressions, retaining sensuality, passion, elegance and a strong erotic charge. “The work of Gian Paolo Barbieri – explains Federico Poletti, editor in chief of Manintown magazine – represents a real mine of inspirations ranging on different themes and which often anticipated trends and phenomena of costume. With ‘Uncensored’ we wanted to show all the expressive and erotic power of the nudes shot by Barbieri, poetic images and many forts today on display inside the Foundation, a special place where you can enjoy and discover the work of a great master of Italian photography in an unprecedented way. And I’m sure Barbieri’s work can offer further creative ideas to rethink imaginary of men’s fashion in continuous evolution ”.
