HP would prepare a cheap tablet to annoy Microsoft’s Surface Go

HP plans to release its entry-level tablet sometime in December, for just under $ 500. It comes with a 2K screen, a rotating camera and an entry-level configuration.

There are products that seem to go one step further when it comes to finding a name for them, such as the recent Realme GT Master Edition for example. There are others, and this is the case of this tablet, which rely on a much more minimalist approach. The HP 11, as the name suggests, is a Tablet produced by HP with an 11-inch panel.

Its main objective? Come compete Microsoft on its own land, releasing a tablet capable of teasing the Surface Go from the Redmond firm, which should be presented during the September 22 Surface Event.

The advantages of the HP 11

To do this, the HP 11 offers a high-end touch screen, since it displays a definition of 2160 × 1440 pixels, which HP claims is capable of covering the entire sRGB spectrum. The manufacturer adds that the tablet has a maximum brightness of 400 cd / m². The borders should still be visible.

Inside, we find an Intel Pentium Silver N6000, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of SSD storage, which clearly makes it an entry-level tablet on the performance part, mainly intended for browsing the web and multimedia use. The HP 11 is Wi-Fi 6 compatible.

For the rest of the owner’s turn, the tablet also features a 13-megapixel rotating webcam, which can be stowed away on the back of the tablet for added privacy. The connection goes through USB-C (30 W recharge), compatible with Power Delivery and Display Port as well as a reader microSD. An additional keyboard is sold for an additional 100 euros. It can be used in both portrait and landscape.

The HP 11 will be available sometime in December for $ 499. We do not yet know the availability or the price for France.
