Emmy Awards 2021: these Netflix series have crushed the competition – Hitek.fr

The 73rd Annual Emmy Awards was held in Los Angeles on Sunday. This ceremony rewards each year, since 1949, the best shows and the best professionals in American television. This year, the series on the Netflix platform, and two in particular, have crushed the competition, and put the platform in the spotlight better than ever. We come back to this evening which widely commented on social networks.

The 2021 Emmy Awards

Netflix has crushed the competition at 2021 Emmy Awards, since by including all Emmy Awards (that is to say with the technical prices and the so-called “secondary” prices), the Netflix platform has accumulated no less than 44 statuettes, compared to 18 for HBO / HBO Max. On the side of Disney +, it is the stampede, since WandaVision and The Mandalorian left empty-handed from this 73rd ceremony.

However, it should be noted that during Creative Emmy Awards (a more confidential ceremony during which the technical awards are given), the two series are respectively awarded with three and seven prizes. On the side of Apple TV +, only one series stood out, and it is Ted lasso, a series that looks back on the story of American football coach Ted Lasso, who was recruited by AFC Richmond to train his football team, although the latter had no experience in the sport. While Netflix, as a result, has totally crushed the competition this year, it is notably thanks to two series in particular.

two series that crush the competition

At the 2021 Emmy Awards, the Netflix series The Crown was particularly illustrated, since she won seven statuettes, in the seven categories for which she was eligible. In the category “Best Drama Series”, which was long considered the most prestigious, the fourth season of The Crown has therefore won almost everything, and defeated the competition.

Series The Crown is not the only one to have distinguished itself, however, since the series The Lady’s Game has also distinguished itself in several categories, including the best mini-series, and the best achievement. The two Netflix series left no chance for their competitors.
