End of the health pass: those departments where it may no longer be compulsory – Midi Libre

Health constraints could be territorialized. This is what the government has been suggesting for several days. This Sunday, September 19, the Minister of Health interviewed by Le Parisien let it be known that “the restrictions could be gradually eased”, provided that the situation continues to improve.

About thirty departments concerned?

Guest of BFM-TV, Gabriel Attal, spokesperson for the executive, was questioned on the issue. He estimates that “around thirty departments where the incidence rate is below 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants” are affected by a drop in the circulation of Covid-19.

Can an incidence rate below 50 be decisive for a gradual lifting of measures? Nothing is less sure. The vaccination rate by department could be taken into account in the calculations.

For now, if this criterion were retained by the government, around thirty departments could be concerned:

A single department below the alert threshold in Occitania

In Occitania, even if the situation continues to improve, the majority of departments still have incidence rates above 50 per 100,000 inhabitants. Only the Tarn is below the alert threshold.

This local variation of the measures does not however call into question the health pass in a generalized manner. Jean Castex is already working on a bill to extend the health pass after November 15.
