Slovana footballers are still undefeated in the current season of the highest competition. For the second time in a row, however, they did not enjoy the victory. After the draw in Dunajská Streda (1: 1), they only took a point from the duel with Žilina (2: 2).

The Slovak champion led the meeting twice, but the guests always answered. Vahan Bičachčjan took care of both goals of the Žilina team – the first shot from the eleven, the second after a great finish from behind the sixteenth.

The former national team coach set a diametrically different line-up in the league than in the cup match with Copenhagen. The defensive four (Vojtko, Križan, De Marco, Hrnčár) started in a completely new line-up.
Adler Da Silva also got a chance in the basic line-up.
“Playing for Slovan is not easy, the pressure is greater here. The boys who came to us in the summer had previously played in teams that fought for rescue. There were key players. In Slovan, however, each of them is only one in twenty, “Weiss assessed his charges.
He also showed up with David Hrnčár, who burned a big goal chance at the very end. And thus the opportunity to decide the match. However, from an angle and close to the goal, he sent the ball to the stands.

“A potter can’t kick a ball in the 30th row from such a position,” Weiss commented.
At least Samuel Mráz’s performance pleased him. The former Žilina player scored his first goal in the Slovan jersey.
“Mráz himself will score goals for Slovan. I’ll sign a blank check that it will. As long as he is healthy, “said Weiss.
His charges belong to the first place in the incomplete league table – by the score before Trnava. However, Slovan has a good Wednesday finish on Ružomberok.
