“An unknown man broke into the university grounds and started shooting at students and teachers. They are dead and wounded there,” told Interfax its source. Russia’s Interior Ministry said several people lost their lives in the shooting, but did not specify their numbers. The regional health ministry, which reports 19 injuries, has previously announced that not all injuries are gunshot. Some were caused by students jumping out of windows in an attempt to escape.
According to the press service of the university itself, there are four wounded on the spot. Students from part of the university were evacuated. The city of Perm in the east of the European part of the Russian Federation is about 1100 kilometers from Moscow.

Shooter’s identity revealed?
An attacker was shot on campus, whom the committee of inquiry later identified as a student at the school. According to Russian media, the police detained him. He defended himself during the arrest and was injured, writes the TASS agency. The university’s press service previously told Reuters that he had been killed. Its motive is still unclear.
According to Russian media, the shooter was probably Timur Bekumansurov, who published his status on the social network. It says that it is not a terrorist attack. He was not a member of any extremist or religious organizations and did his own thing.
