According to the Banská Bystrica Regional Police, the bear was seen in Žiar nad Hronom. According to the announcement they received, our largest beast was moving in the fields behind the hospital. “There are cornfields where the beast can move,” clarified.

Patrols are monitoring the site and a specialist, a brown bear specialist, was immediately notified of the case. “Citizens are asked not to move around the area for safety reasons. If you notice the animal, call 158 immediately.” police added.

The bear also walked along Žiar nad Hronom in June, when the people themselves pointed out its presence in the town. The beast aimed it right along the road in the middle of the night. Although the bear did not endanger anyone, the police still called on the locals to be extra careful.
