The oil company BP obtained more than 8,000 million dollars in profits in the third quarter

Oil companies are benefiting from the increase in oil prices in the first half of the year as a result of the war in Ukraine. Although crude oil prices have fallen in recent months, they are still at very high levels. The oil company BP, through a statement sent to the London Stock Exchange, has reported that in the third quarter, from July to September, it has obtained underlying profits of 8,150 million dollars. That is 145% more than in the same period of 2021. Even so, during the first nine months of the year the company registered an attributed loss of more than 13,000 million dollars as a result of its exit from the Russian oil company Rosneft. has reported that total revenues in the accumulated period reached 178,535 million dollars, an increase of 59.4% compared to the nine months of 2021. Regarding the acquisitions made by the oil company in that period, they stood at 106,942 million dollars , an increase of 75.7% compared to the same months last year. Production expenses amounted to 21,769 million dollars in the nine months and exploration expenses reached 445 million dollars. BP also announced a repurchase of shares worth 2,500 million dollars. The company, which has reduced its debt to 22,000 million dollars, has stressed that it is focused on helping solve the energy problem, while saying it facilitates crude o and the gas that the world needs while investing in accelerating the energy transition.
