They went out with their boats to fish after several days without doing so due to the storm . At first, when they saw them in the distance, they thought they were several logs of wood shaken by the waves. However, when they approached, the surprise was great. They were four boars swimming towards the coast. They were outside the Portosín breakwater, about a hundred meters from the Coira beach. “Here, at least, we had never seen anything like it,” one of the sailors who witnessed the moment assures NIUS. They do not know where they came from, what they do know is that they were already very tired on their way to land. “The smallest was very exhausted,” he says. The sailors lost track of them when they entered the estuary. But it is known that at least three of them managed to reach land alive. A neighbor recorded them already walking through the town after making landfall on the Coira beach. “There were three of them, so we think that the little one did not survive,” says this sailor. One more unusual image left by wild pigs, increasingly accustomed to baths and contact with humans.
