Former judge Alba enters prison on his own foot after issuing a search and capture order

Sentenced to six years in prison for maneuvering against the judge, former Podemos deputy and Government delegate against gender violence, Victoria Rosell, Alba entered prison at 9:00 in the morning, as confirmed by prison sources to NIUS. It was shortly after the Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) ordered the search, arrest and imprisonment of former magistrate Salvador Alba in execution of the sentence that in September 2019 imposed his sentence for the crimes of prevarication, bribery and falsehood. According to the TSJC, in reference to an order dated October 17, the High Court of the Canary Islands commissions the State Security Forces to locate the former judge “for his arrest and immediate transfer to the nearest penitentiary center for the fulfillment of the sentence imposed by a final sentence”. All this after the representation of the former magistrate presented two briefs to the Criminal Chamber on October 17, one of them requesting to clarify the order of October 13 that gave him 24 hours to enter prison and that has been dismissed, and another that promoted an incident of recusal of the president of the TSJC, Juan Luis Lorenzo Bragado, who has been inadmissible gone.
