The well-known presenter Vera Wisterová (45) and the leader of IMT Smile Ivan Tásler (43) created the television project Caravan show in 2006. The pair, who were a couple in the past, traveled to Mexico, Australia, Japan and Europe in a successful series. The Caravan show project was also related to the song Caravan Of Love, a well-known hit by the English group Housemartins from November 1986. “A lot of people discouraged us from it at the beginning, that there would be no interest in a documentary of this kind. I’m glad that it all turned out successfully in the end,” he said formerly a singer. “It was also fun, but above all a lot of work. Leaving in the morning, traveling in the car all day, we always arrived at the destination only in the evening. So, if I was interested in seeing a certain city, it was usually only in the evening,” he added about traveling. During the first series, the opponents mainly admired the center of Australia, Ayers Rock, the well-known red rock, Uluru in the language of the native Aborigines, and the native population itself. According to Tásler, Japan was full of surprises from the first to the last day, they got to know its customs, culture, cuisine and way of dining. In the third series with well-known singers in European cities, Budapest accompanied by Mário “Kuly” Kollár from Desmod and Prague with Paľ Haber had high viewership. The fourth series was Mexico. “It is a country full of contrasts, a proud nation in a special way. It has an interesting musical culture, I was also approached by street groups that play mariachi, pleasant but also aggressive people. They smiled at us in the streets, but also threw stones when we wanted them shoot in a shot,” he said about his stay in Mexico. Vera recently recalled the filming of the last series. At one point, she and Ivan didn’t care about everything. “In Mexico, we were once stopped by guys with a machete… We didn’t care about anything there. It is possible that there was a guardian angel standing by us,” said the mother of two sons on Alena Heribanová’s talk show.
