During his career, Michael Flatley ranked among the biggest names in the dance scene. He was especially famous for his traditional Irish dances, which, however, he conceived in a modern way and thus created the greatest dance show in history. Lord of the Dance, as he called his most famous show, is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary and has enjoyed immense popularity over the years. It has already visited 60 countries and 5 continents, where it was watched by a staggering 60 million viewers. The dance show Lord of the Dance is currently on a world tour. However, the court acquitted the dancer of all charges and his name was thus cleared. Another stroke of fate came in 2006 when he was diagnosed with skin cancer. Fortunately, he was able to recover from this serious illness and is healthy today. It should be added that Michael’s immense talent secured him a life partner in addition to worldwide fame. In 2006, he married his longtime dance partner Niahm O’Brien, who gave birth to his son Michael a year later. Interestingly, Flatley had his love of fate basically right under his nose for years. However, the spark between them did not fly until May 2006. They basically said yes after 5 months of dating. “She is extremely intelligent. She is my best friend and she is extraordinarily beautiful. I am proud to be her husband. It is such a blessing to have her in my life. He is someone who will stay with you even if I come home at night after a night out with friends and I don’t look and feel my best.
