Škoda Superb 2023: The Russian revealed the design of the fourth generation of the flagship – Pravda

It didn’t take long, and shortly after the first spy shots of camouflaged test prototypes of the new Superb appeared on the Internet, here are the first unofficial illustrations. A well-known Russian graphic designer took care of them. Just recently we showed you the fourth generation of the Mladá Boleslav flagship Superb. Of course, in the form of camouflaged test prototypes that were caught in the Alps. After all, the premiere will not take place until the spring of next year. But now we have a much more realistic look. The well-known Russian illustrator Nikita Chuicko took care of it. It was based on hints provided by spy photos of the Combi version, but also on elements that are typical of current Škoda models, younger than the Superb itself. For example, the Octavia, the modernized Kodiaq, but also the electric Enyaq iV. However, the basis of the modification was the official photo of the current Superb. Nothing, because as we know, the fourth generation will only be an evolution of the third. More is not expected from the last Superb with combustion engines. The bumper looks sportier and in many ways resembles the electric Enyaq iV RS. From the profile, the rounded third side window, rear-view mirrors on legs, but especially the canceled cut of the front hood, which was originally connected directly to the “tornado line” side molding, will attract attention. That is, one of the greatest inventions from the pen of Jozef Kabaň. The wheels again resemble the design of the Enyaq RS, although not in detail. There is also a large Škoda sign. At the rear, the dominant change is the connected narrow lights. This is surprising, because until now Škoda used the graphics of the letter C. The light strip is rather typical for the Audi concern. In any case, it would help the Superb to complete the impression of the new generation, albeit with the original foundations. The Suberb will again stand on the MQB platform, albeit a modernized one. Under the hood, internal combustion engines – gasoline and diesel – are still expected. And that with mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid assistance. There will even be two plug-in hybrids, probably with the renewed 1.5 TSI evo engine. This is also the reason why the Superb will most likely say goodbye to the manual gearbox. This will also apply to the 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TSI engines. Superb will be important for Slovakia. Its production will be ensured by the plant of the VW concern in Devínská Nová Ves. It will roll off the production lines here together with the new Passat. Finally, the development of both models took place together to reduce costs.
