Woody Allen clarifies: “I never said that I am retiring as director”

Woody Allen has denied that he wants to retire from the cinema. But on Monday, September 19, a representative of his released a statement to ‘Deadline’ denying that the withdrawal is on the horizon. “Woody Allen never said he was retiring, nor did he say he was writing another novel,” he clarified. “He said he was thinking of not making movies anymore because making movies that go directly or very quickly to streaming platforms isn’t that fun for him, as he’s a huge lover of the theater experience. He currently has no plans to retire. and he is very excited to be in Paris to shoot his new film, which will be the 50th. “This is not the first time Allen has talked about a possible retirement.
