The King and Prince of Wales made a surprise appearance this Saturday to greet those in the queue to approach the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II. A happy surprise for those who are currently waiting in the hope of approaching the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles III and his son William, Prince of Wales, came this Saturday at the start of the afternoon, to shake hands and exchange a few words with those present in the queue, on the Quai Albert, near of the Lambeth Palace. This walkabout once again marks the style of King Charles, very different from that of his mother. Since the start of his reign, he has surprised people with his closeness to the public, willingly touching and embracing the people he meets across the country. The one who now bears the title of Prince of Wales will join Saturday night to the Queen’s seven other grandchildren – including her brother Harry, with whom relations are notoriously difficult – for a vigil of the late Queen’s coffin.
