Seville gathers in a congress the “Champions League of the arrangements” of mobile phones

Change a neighbor’s broken screen, a relative’s wet mobile… and 20 years later he has his own mobile repair company and travels to dozens of countries sharing everything he knows. His stop today is Pilas, in Seville.”It’s an honor to be here,” says Cristian about Ceret 2022, the only mobile repair conference in Europe. Here for eight hours he is going to give a master class. Each attendee will pay 200 euros to listen to him. “In this profession we have to be in constant training,” says Cristian, “with each new mobile that comes out, we have to learn something new.” Repair technicians often work blindly, no brand reveals what the inside of their mobiles is like . That is why more and more people attend this congress. They want to hear the secrets and that’s why they meet here with 40 experts from 13 different countries. “They are the Champions League of repairs,” says Antonio Ortega, founder and organizer of the mobile phone repair congress, which is celebrating its third edition. For a whole week, from September 17 to 23, and for a little less than two thousand euros, attendees will learn about the latest developments in the sector, the latest research and the methods applied in other countries. However, the biggest claim is the renowned technicians such as Carlos Quiceno, Edgar Aguirre and Cristian himself, the three great leaders in the sector. “We started with a small course,” he explains, “but it has been growing.” The same thing that has happened with mobiles to become an essential part of our day to day. “If your cell phone breaks, part of your life stays inside,” says Antonio. And it doesn’t just refer to photographs, they offer us more and more possibilities and we store more information on the phone. Mobile phones are changing, but the problems remain the same. “The user”, summarizes Cristian, or what is the same, accidents, falls or mobile phones that get wet. “Once a person came into my store who said that he had just dropped his mobile into the toilet”, laughs Cristian, “I didn’t even want to touch it”. existed and has now become indispensable.
