While Fabien Roussel, national secretary of the French Communist Party (PCF), candidate in the presidential election of 2022, ended his meeting on the Angela Davis stage, he decided to symbolically marry two young 19-year-old activists: Paul Mongault-Girard and Enzo de Gregorio. “We got together a year ago, at the Fête de l’Huma” Both are members of the Mouvement Jeunes Communistes de France (MJCF). Paul Mongault-Girard is organizational secretary in Paris, Enzo de Gregorio, departmental secretary of the MJCF, and a native of Carantec. Contacted by telephone, the two young men say: “It is symbolic for us, we got together a year ago, at the Huma festival”. In front of “5,000 to 10,000 people”, they estimate, they kissed.
