Venice 2022, the Bianchi Award to Stefania Sandrelli

Stefania Sandrelli is awarded the Pietro Bianchi 2022 Award, the recognition that Italian Film Journalists (Sngci) traditionally assign to the Lido of Venice, this year for the 45th edition, to a personality of Italian cinema. In agreement with the Venice International Film Festival, the Bianchi Award is a tribute to one of our most loved actresses, “icon of the best Italian comedy, who continues to conquer the public with simplicity, great passion and with the evergreen freshness of his talent “. The Prize celebrates its first sixty years of love with cinema in its return to the Festival with ‘Acqua e anice’, Corrado Ceron’s first work, a special event at the Giornate degli Autori. Golden Lion for her career in Venice in 2005, Stefania Sandrelli received seven Silver Ribbons from Film Journalists, including a Nastro d’onore and a Nastro d’oro for her career. In fact, she was awarded for her interpretations in ‘The terrace’ and ‘The dinner’ by Ettore Scola, ‘Mignon is gone’ by Francesca Archibugi, ‘The last kiss’ by Gabriele Muccino, ‘The first beautiful thing’ by Paolo Virzì. “I am very happy and deeply honored to receive this prestigious award from Film Journalists, a category so important for our work that has always followed me with attention and with a totally reciprocated affection.
