Milan, they raped a woman in Piazza Napoli: the third man was arrested

The third man accused of taking part in the gang rape that took place on 3 July in Piazza Napoli in Milan was arrested. It is a subject of Egyptian nationality against whom serious indications of guilt have been collected. To carry out the arrest, the carabinieri of the operational nucleus of the Milan Porta Magenta company who have executed an order for the application of the measure of precautionary custody in prison issued by the Milan court. The investigations stem from the events that took place on the night of July 3 in the gardens of Piazza Napoli. The victim, a 41-year-old of Brazilian origin, in a state of psychophysical inferiority, was attacked by three men who, after having dragged her behind a hedge, had begun to sexually abuse her. To realize what was happening, some passers-by who had asked for the intervention of the carabinieri, who arrived promptly on the spot, blocking and arresting two of the three men, all of foreign nationality, in the act of crime. The investigations, continued in a tight manner, made it possible to identify the third accomplice. The gravity of the evidence of guilt against him, collected through the images of surveillance cameras, observation services and the acquisition of statements made by witnesses, as well as subsequent photographic acknowledgments and analysis of telephone traffic records, has led to the issue of the precautionary measure.
