Source: Getty Images GLASGOW – Biker Rab Wardell has died in his sleep two days after winning the Scottish Olympic cross country championship. He was 37 years old. His death was reported by the BBC. Wardell has been racing mountain bikes since he was young, but only turned pro this year. “We have very little information at this time, but we send all our love to the family,” the Scottish Cycling Association said. In Sunday’s championship at Kirroughtree Forest, Wardell triumphed despite three punctures after a great chase. As recently as Monday, he spoke about his victory in the BBC studio.
