Chicago, 4th of July parade shooting

Shooting in Chicago during the 4th of July celebration parade. The number of victims is not yet clear. The Chicago Sun Times reported that the parade began around 10 am in Highland Park in the north of the city, but was abruptly stopped 10 minutes later. Several witnesses told the newspaper they heard gunshots. Hundreds of parade attendees – some visibly bloodied – fled the parade route, leaving behind chairs, strollers and blankets. A Sun-Times reporter saw blankets placed over three bloody bodies.
