The Central African Republic launches the state crypto

It is one of the poorest and most unstable countries in the world, but it will have its own state cryptocurrency. The President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra, has made official the birth of “Sango coin”, after four months ago he had already made Bitcoin legal tender. Sango coin will be used to access the country’s main resources, including oil, diamonds and copper. The government’s plans also include the creation of an island dedicated to digital currency on the Oubangui River. The new currency, which aspires to become one of the reference cryptocurrencies of the African continent, will be a state token linked to Bitcoin.
