Apple said third-party developers will also be able to create widgets to add to the lock screen. Better management of notifications Still on the lock screen, users can also review the way notifications are displayed. From now on, they will be superimposed at the bottom of the screen. A way to avoid the syndrome of too many notifications displayed which can sometimes completely hide the lock screen wallpaper. Another function unveiled by Apple, Live Activites, will allow you to see, without having to unlock your smartphone, the evolution of a status, whether it is music in progress, a football match taking place at the same time or tracking an Uber ride. Finally, iOS 16 will allow you to take advantage of preconfigured lock screens with animations related to the weather or with space images. iOS 16 should be available for iPhone users in the next few hours in beta.
