Covid, Ambassador Fanara and Tunisian Minister Jerandi welcome the ship with aid from the San Donato Group

Mediterranean increasingly central. Cooperation between Italy and Tunisia is strengthened. The Rome-Tunis partnership – at the center of President Kais Saied’s recent first visit to Italy – is also realized through collaboration on the front of the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, in the face of a phase of global resurgence of the epidemic. In this context, the Italian Embassy in Tunis applauds the initiative of the San Donato Group and its vice president Kamel Ghibri – as part of its philanthropic activities – “for the extraordinary gift to Tunisia” of 20 thousand liters of oxygen, 27 concentrators of oxygen, 30 thousand personal protective equipment, 30 thousand rapid tests, 25 ventilation helmets and an ambulance “, aid transported by ship and welcomed on arrival by the Italian ambassador Fanara and the Tunisian foreign minister Jerandi. These gifts are added to those of the Italian Cooperation which a few days ago ordered, on the recommendation of the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Marina Sereni, the sending to the port of Tunis of over 25 tons of medical material for the fight against Covid- 19.
