But even here, the necessary distinctions must be made between chains that are very exposed to the horeca circuit such as dairy, fish, wine or dependent on tourist flows such as agritourism or even from ceremonies such as horticulture and others that instead unscathed this complex period, even strengthening in some cases “. Fabio Del Bravo, head of Ismea market services, says this in an interview with Adnkronos / Labitalia. “A very diversified scenario therefore – he explains – also from company to company, which has seen rewarded the realities that have been able to adapt with greater agility to the context, reorganizing the sales network and orienting themselves directly to the final consumer also through e-commerce” . “As for 2021 – he observes – the first signs of recovery and a restart can be traced back to the month of March. Indeed, a series of economic indicators have improved since the end of the first quarter. In 2020, the agri-food sector was one of the few sectors to record a positive sign in exports, albeit in slowdown. In 2021, after a rather tiring start in January, a gradual recovery in February, March and April showed excellent positive signs and overall the sector marks a + 7% compared to the first quarter of 2020 which was only partially affected by the effects of the Covid, and had in turn registered important increases over 2019 “.
