Covid, Burioni: “There is a solution but it is political, vaccine obligation for all”

“The Italian situation” with new coronavirus infections “is simple: over fifty-year-olds who have refused the vaccine with a crazy choice end up in resuscitation and infect young people who have not yet been vaccinated. The solution is at hand but it is political and not scientific: obligation for everyone”. Thus, on Twitter, the virologist Roberto Burioni, who when asked by a commentator – “Prof. but how is the obligation associated with the risk that someone could lose their life because of the vaccine itself?” – he replies: “I imagine that tragically some people lose their lives because of seat belts. But there are many more who save their lives thanks to them: for this reason they are rightly obligatory”.

For the virologist, moreover, “the Delta variant does not puncture vaccines at all. But it infects the unvaccinated very easily”. Then the jab to the media: “By now any nonsense regarding COVID-19, especially if with terrorist connotations, becomes news bounced by all the newspapers and information sites. I don’t understand why”.
