He says this is the only way to make the necessary changes to the platform: “I invested in Twitter because I believe in its potential to become a platform for freedom of speech around the world and I believe that freedom of speech is a social imperative of a functioning democracy.” He would like to fully open Twitter without restricting, deleting or banning. The current management did not allow him to do so, so he did not join the board and is trying this way. Regarding the redemption amount, he says this is his best and only offer and if his offer is not accepted, he will consider his shareholder position. Musk imagines it very simply, but the free speech he uses does not work in a real environment, especially in a social networking environment. Farm boots and hater will flood it there faster than he thought. In addition, hatred and lies spread very easily and can overwhelm normal content. He would have noticed all this after Twitter had been banned by individual states.
