Covid in Slovakia: 3,419 new cases and 17 deaths added – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. PCR tests in Slovakia revealed 3,419 new cases of the infection on Sunday coronavirus. The laboratories tested 6,564 samples (positivity 52.08 percent).

Of the 7,086 samples taken by antigen testing, 1,246 (17.58 percent) were positive.

It informed about it National Center for Health Information.

Another 17 people lost to Covid. The total number of pandemic victims in Slovakia thus increased to 18,704.

There are 2,547 patients in the hospitals. Of the hospitalized, more than 71 percent are not fully vaccinated.

There are 214 patients in the intensive care units and departments of anesthesiology and intensive care, and 88 people need support for artificial lung ventilation, said Zuzana Eliášová, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.

The first dose vaccines five people received against covid, their number increased to 2,817,824. 74 people received the third dose of the vaccine on Sunday, and 759 people were vaccinated with the second dose.
