BEIJING – Slovak representative in skiing Henrieta Farkašová won gold at the Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing on Monday in a combination of visually impaired women. Another Slovak representative Alexandra Rexová did not finish the race.

Farkasova triumphed with a time of 2: 03.39 min. She managed the opening super-G in 1: 18.57 min and settled in second place, Rex finished just behind her. In slalom, Farkašová once again showed her second best ride and won second gold at the ongoing games. Her compatriot made a mistake and did not finish a well-run race.

The silver team won the Chinese national team Taqing Chu with a deficit of 0.86 s on the winner, the bronze was won by the British Menna Fitzpatrick, who lost 2.59 s.
