During the fire of the parking house on Drieňová Street in Ružinov, all Bratislava fire stations, firefighters from Pezinok, the HaZZ Rescue Brigade in Malacky and members of ten DHZOs from the surrounding area intervened. The fire broke out before half past seven in the evening and hit three floors (4th – 6th floor).

Not only the people of Ružinov were frightened on Saturday night by the smell of smoke and burnt rubber. A fire broke out on Drieňová Street in Bratislava. Firefighters from all over Bratislava are currently intervening on the spot. The mayor of Ružinov, Martin Chren, informed about it on the social network.

“Dear neighbors, many of you ask about the smell from burning, which you can smell from Štrkovec in all directions, up to Ružova dolina. Bratislava Regional Police Spokesman Michal Szeiff informed that Bratislava police officers are currently assisting in the fire of the 6-storey parking house, which occurred shortly before 7.30 pm on Drieňová Street.

“Given the scale of the fire, as well as the smoky surroundings of citizens and motorists, we urge them to avoid the site. According to current information, there was no personal injury in connection with the fire. We will keep the public informed as soon as possible.” added Szeiff.
