BEIJING – Slovak hockey player Juraj Slafkovský won the award for the most useful player of the Olympic tournament in Beijing (MVP). He contributed seven goals in seven matches to the bronze medals for the Slovak Republic, which also earned him the crown of the king of shooters and the title of the most productive player of the Olympic Games 2022. Accredited journalists chose the seventeen-year-old striker as the MVP of the tournament.

Slafkovský also got into the All Star team of the tournament, in which he is together with another Slovak representative – goalkeeper Patrik Rybár. The top six are completed by defenders Mikko Lehtonen from the Finnish golden team, Jegor Jakovlev (ROC) and strikers Sakari Manninen (Finland) and Lucas Wallmark (Sweden).
