It’s blowing again on Sunday! SHMÚ issued warnings, the wind is bothering almost the whole of Slovakia – Topky.sk

The warning against the wind in the mountains is valid on Sundays from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm in the districts of Žilina, Martin, Námestovo, Tvrdošín, Dolný Kubín or Ružomberok. Also in the districts of Banská Bystrica, Liptovský Mikuláš, Brezno and Poprad.

The average wind speed can be above the forest zone in these districts of about 70 kilometers per hour. Short-term in impacts from 110 to 135 kilometers per hour. Stronger winds can also occur in the lower parts of the districts of Námestovo, Tvrdošín, Poprad and in most of the Košice region. Lowest alerts should apply in these areas tentatively from noon on Sunday until 5 p.m.

In almost the entire Žilina Region, as well as in the districts of Brezno and Poprad, snow tongues and snowdrifts may occur on Sundays from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm.
