In France, Parliament adopts the reform of borrower insurance

By a final vote of the Senate, Parliament adopted Thursday a reform of borrower insurance for home loans. The proposal aimed to introduce more competition in the banking and insurance sectors to lower costs for the consumer. The medical questionnaire is removed for mortgages of less than 200,000 euros per person, and the “right to be forgotten” period is reduced from ten to five years for cancers and hepatitis C.
