In Galicia, in northwestern Spain, the village of Aceredo resurfaced in mid-February. It had been engulfed in 1992 during the commissioning of the Alto Lindoso dam, near the Portuguese border. Thirty years later, 70 houses have reappeared due to the severe drought that hit the area.
