NAKA accused a total of 21 people in the Mýtnik case. Ondrej Repa, the prosecutor of the special prosecutor’s office, indicted six of them. This concerns five acts. Nine confessed in full, one in part, NAKA chief Ľubomír Daňko announced at today’s press briefing at the Special Prosecutor’s Office. Currently, 19 people are charged.

“The defendants exercised their rights relatively actively during the pre-trial procedure, a total of 18 complaints were lodged, one was upheld. As regards section 363, a total of 11 motions were lodged, one was granted, 9 were rejected and one was withdrawn.” informed the ÚŠP prosecutor Ondrej Repa.

“Multiple criminal proceedings are not currently completed,” Repa added. The criminal case of Lenka Wittenberger, Denisa Židová and Kornélia Černý is in a separate proceeding. This criminal case is pending completion of the investigation and we can expect a decision on how to proceed in the near future.

The Mýtnik case concerns a corruption scheme that operated on financial management. The amount of damage caused exceeds EUR 45 million. According to Daňko, the value of the IT contracts on which the accused profited was estimated at 8.6 million euros. However, the financial administration paid more than € 53.8 million for them.
