Sympathetic debut of a young Slovak: Čerňanská has her Olympic premiere – Športky.sk

BEIJING – Slovak bobsledder Viktória Čerňanská is on the 15th place after the two races in the women’s monobob competition at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing with a loss of 3.06 seconds to the American leader Kaillie Humphries.

Čerňanská took the joint 12th place in the first race on Sunday with a loss of 1.31 seconds to Humphries. Cynthia Appiahová from Canada also achieved the same time as the Slovak. In the second race, Čerňanská worsened, reaching 66 times a second time worse than the first.

In an ice slide in Yenching, Humphries has set out for a gold medal. Halfway through the competition, she is 1.04 seconds ahead of Canadian Christine de Bruin, third in German is Laura Nolte (+1.22).

Women’s monobobes are a new Olympic discipline. The medals will be handed out in it after the third and fourth races on Monday, February 14.
