PRAGUE. Tests in the Czech Republic yesterday revealed 20,270 new cases of the disease. This is a jump compared to last week, when there were about 13,000 fewer infected people on Monday.

At the same time, it is the highest daily increment since the beginning of December 2021.

The labs performed 134,000 tests, about 27,000 more than a week ago.

The seven-day incidence rate also increased significantly, with 799 people currently infected per 100,000 inhabitants.

The total number of victims of the pandemic has risen to 36,910. The news portal informs about it idnes.cz with reference to the Ministry of Health.

Omikron already dominates in the Czech Republic
