Covid today Piedmont, 7,652 infections and 17 deaths: January 7 bulletin

There are 7,652 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, 7 January 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Another 17 deaths recorded. The cases (of which 5,945 after antigenic tests) are equal to 15.8% of 48,382 swabs performed, of which 39,229 antigenic. Of the 7,652 positives, 5,624 (73.5%) were asymptomatic. There are 137 hospitalized in intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday). Non-intensive care patients are 1,593 (+80 compared to yesterday). There are 122,978 people in home isolation. The deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region are 17, 1 today: the cumulative updated data communicated daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and only subsequently ascertained as Covid deaths. The total then becomes 12,136 deaths tested positive for the virus. A total of 435,750 patients recovered (+3,691 compared to yesterday).
