At the start of 2022, the Covid-19 pandemic continues its outbreak in the world, struck by the strong contagiousness of the Omicron variant, although the latter seems less fatal than its predecessor Delta. Some scientific experts and politicians hope to achieve some form of collective immunity, but disagreements persist.

Heng has been drawing for Lianhe Zaobao newspaper, Singapore’s largest daily, since 1984. He also works for other Asian newspapers and his cartoons are published in several international newspapers. In 1998, he won the first prize organized by the United Nations within the framework of ESCAP (Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) and in 2000, he received the “Grafica Internazionale Award” at the international festival of political satire in Italy.
