Slovakia will not switch to COVID vending machine until 18 January. The government decided to negotiate. This means that the same rules apply as of that date. The night curfew ends and schools and cultural events open on Monday 10 January.

Restaurants, establishments or cultural events are only allowed for the vaccinated and outdated.

“The government has approved the suspension of the COVID vending machine until January 18 (inclusive). Pursuant to the resolution of the Government of the Slovak Republic, the COVID vending machine was suspended during the curfew. As the curfew ends next Sunday, the COVID vending machine would automatically apply from Monday, so the Slovak government had to decide to suspend it, “said Zuzana Eliášová, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health.
