Pupils and staff: new Covid-19 isolation rules in schools from January 3, 2022 – Gouvernement.fr

As of this new school year of January 3, 2022, an evolution of the contact-tracing protocol in the event of Covid-19 contamination applies to all establishments and in all departments, regardless of the health protocol currently in place.

Teachers, staff and students over 12 years old

With a full vaccination

If I am contaminated:

• Isolation for 5 days if the antigen test or PCR performed on the 5th day is negative and in the absence of symptoms for 48 hours
• 7 days isolation otherwise

If I am in contact:

• No isolation
• Antigen test or immediate PCR
• Autotest on D + 2, D + 4

Without vaccination or with incomplete vaccination

If I am contaminated:

• Isolation for 7 days if the antigen or PCR test carried out on the 7th day is negative and in the absence of symptoms for more than 48 hours
• 10 days isolation otherwise

If I am in contact:

• 7 days isolation
• Antigen test or PCR after isolation

Students under 12

If I am contaminated:

• Isolation for 5 days if the antigen test or PCR performed on the 5th day is negative and in the absence of symptoms for 48 hours
• 7 days isolation otherwise

If I am in contact:

No isolation necessary if:

• the antigen test or PCR carried out the same day is indeed negative
• the self-tests carried out on D + 2, D + 4 are negative (certificate on the honor of the parents)
