It lived in the streets of Bratislava during New Year’s Eve, despite the curfew. The police – REFRESHER – also had to intervene

New Year’s celebrations and fireworks organized by the city of Bratislava were canceled. Nevertheless, people have made their own program on the streets of the capital, I am writing TV Newspapers.

During New Year’s Eve, a curfew applied without exception. The police therefore carried out compliance checks.

Before 22.00, groups of Slovaks as well as foreign tourists were found in the center of Bratislava. They drank alcohol on the benches. The police therefore identified them and reported them to the public health office. This is a violation of the curfew. It was valid from 20.00 to 5.00.

This was not the only illegal assembly within Bratislava. In other parts, however, the police encountered only small groups of people.

Because the city did not organize New Year’s fireworks, many Bratislava residents made it their own way. Some were seen, for example, from the Old Bridge, where small groups of people also gathered.
