In Lebanon, celebrating Christmas has become a luxury

The economic crisis that Lebanon is going through makes celebrating Christmas more complicated. Donations aimed at helping households are no longer sufficient and the Lebanese must restrict themselves in the purchase of gifts in particular. 74% of Lebanese now live below the poverty line.

Families can nevertheless count on the Christmas markets, where they gather for free. The festivities are thus less painful to live, in the hope of a better future.
