Xiaomi 12: images, technical sheet … the leaks accumulate before the launch – Frandroid

Xiaomi will present its Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 pro between the two New Years Eve, the December 28th. As often, an announcement does not come without its few pre-conference leaks and the Xiaomi 12 is no exception. He is even starting to have fewer and fewer secrets from us.

Let’s start with the outside. The generally reliable Evan Blass (aka evleaks) leaker has published images of the classic model.

The small format is confirmed

The design already seen with a main photo module much larger than the other two seems to be confirmed. On the photo block, we can see an inscription which suggests that this main sensor would have a definition of 50 megapixels, much lower than the 108 megapixels of the Mi 11. Be careful, however, this does not mean anything as to the quality of the pictures of this device , many other factors will of course have to be taken into account.

As a reminder, the Xiaomi 12 also promises to be smaller in size, since it has been confirmed by the brand that it would have a diagonal of 6.28 inches, against the 6.81 inches of the Mi 11. Some rumors mention the also released a mini model.

The technical sheet and the price in nature

Several sites like Phone Arena echoed a leak on Weibo. This is an image showing the specifications and the price of the Xiaomi 12. The image indeed resembles the type of visuals that the brand regularly communicates.

We learn in particular that the screen would display a definition in Full HD + in 120 Hz, that it would support HDR10 + and Dolby Vision. DiplayMate would have rated this screen A +, the highest rating the site can give.

A photo part that becomes clearer

The poster greatly details the photo part. The 50-megapixel main sensor is said to be 1 / 1.28 inch, with a pixel size of 1.22um, aperture at f / 1.9, and optical stabilization. With pixel binning, 12-megapixel shots would display a pixel size of 2.44 µm.

The secondary sensor would be an ultra wide-angle with an angle of 123 degrees and a definition of 13 megapixels, while the third module would offer an X3 zoom with optical stabilization.

On the load side, we would indeed be on 67 W wired and 30W wireless with a 4500 mAh battery. MIUI 13 seems to be part of the adventure and the chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 logically gives access to the phone to Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and connectivity 5G. Note also the probable compatibility with Dolby Atmos.

Probable price and availability in China

Also according to this poster, three models will be available for purchase. A first with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, a second with 256 GB of storage and a third with 12 GB of RAM.

It would cost respectively 3699, 3999 and 4399 yuan for these models, or 512, 553 and 609 euros if we make a simple conversion.
