Franco Amadio is the new president of the Italian Federation of Equestrian Tourism and Trec-Ante. It was the National Elective Ordinary Assembly on Tuesday 21 December, to celebrate, at the PalaFijlkam in Ostia, the passing of the baton between the Extraordinary Commissioner Mauro Checcoli, the inimitable bi-Olympic champion of Tokyo’64 and the newly elected President. The entrepreneur from Viterbo, born in 1968, lives with Barbara and their two children Agnese and Andrea. He is preparing to lead a world represented by 30 sports disciplines, between English and Western riding, with a total of 21403 members and 556 centers. “I thank those who have worked hard in recent years to make our Federation grow” declared the newly elected president. “In the wake of an important signal – the 26% increase in membership despite the pandemic – our mission, starting today, will be to work as a team with the regions to preserve our traditions and open the doors to the future, allowing our disciplines to be able to count on a technical and organizational engine that keeps pace with the times and with the urgent needs of our sporting world.
