BRATISLAVA. A month and a half after the release of police chief Tibor Gašpar, another big step in the investigation of the Purgatory case is taking place.

On Tuesday, a special prosecutor’s office filed charges against eleven people, including well-known names such as Norbert Bödör and Peter Hraško.

Gašpar will thus appear in court shortly after the prime minister Robert Fico invited into politics. In mid-December, the former nominee of Smer also appeared on the party press, where he spoke about his innocence.

“I am not afraid of what I have done, but I am afraid of what I have not done,” said Gaspar, who claims to face false accusations.

Fico also supports him in this. In his speeches, Gašpara regularly defends himself and claims that he has a good name, which was only tarnished by journalists.

“We will now fight for our names and for names such as Tibor Gašpar, Norbert Bödör, Miroslav Výboh, Jozef Brhel, Kajetán Kičura and more and more and more, because these people are all innocent there, “Fico said.
