Let’s Stop Corruption Initiates the Prosecutor General’s Office Due to the Case of Poaching – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. The Stop Corruption Foundation is urging the Prosecutor General’s Office to “correct” the regional prosecutor’s Nitre, which annulled the decision to prosecute the poaching case.

The case is known as cottage recordings, as police used information technology in the investigation. The foundation stated that the case was decided by the regional prosecutor’s office, some of whose representatives may not appear impartial to the public.

The press release was provided by NZK spokeswoman Lucia Pazičová.

“We also see several points of contention in the justification,” said the director of the foundation, Zuzana Petková.

The main reservation for which the regional prosecutor annulled the investigator’s resolution is that he overqualified the offense of poaching.

The NZK explained that the prosecutor’s office was actually suggesting that the police had inflated the whole case so that he could use wiretaps.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the crime with a weapon cannot be used in the case of an animal, only a person. The Foundation emphasized that several judgments district courts, however, state the opposite.

The Foundation therefore submits a complaint pursuant to Section 363 of the Criminal Procedure Code and requests the annulment of the resolution of the Regional Prosecutor. He criticizes the application of NZK 363 in the case of suspended criminal proceedings. In this case, however, according to them, it may contribute to the resumption of the investigation in the case under review.
