Jean Alesi in police custody in Avignon: what we know about the case involving the ex-F1 driver – Midi Libre

The former Formula 1 driver, Jean Alesi is in police custody in Avignon police premises, confirms the prosecution of Nîmes.

He is suspected of having fired with a firework mortar on the glass door of an architectural firm, Place Saint-Marc, in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon. The intended victim would be the brother-in-law of Jean Alesi.

“A bad joke”

A car was quickly spotted by investigators. And the pilot presented himself to the police station in Avignon. In custody, Jean Alesi would have explained that it was “a bad joke”.
