SURVEY Support for compulsory vaccination against CORONAVÍRUS is growing slightly – Topky.sk

38.9 percent of respondents are in favor of compulsory vaccination for all those who allow it. 52.1 percent of them reject it. Nine percent of respondents are unable to assess this issue. Support for such general compulsory vaccination increased slightly from 31.2 percent in July to 38.9 percent in December. 46 percent of respondents are responsible for compulsory vaccination for selected groups of the population, such as people over the age of 65, health professionals, DSS employees, police officers or teachers, for example. On the contrary, 45.8 percent of respondents reject it.

Mandatory vaccination of selected groups of the population is mostly approved by voters of the political parties Progressive Slovakia (90.2 percent), OĽANO (80 percent), SaS (71.8 percent) and We are a family (50.8 percent). Voice-SD also has relatively high support (44.6 percent). 32.9 percent of respondents agree with the remuneration of vaccinated people over the age of 60 in the amount of 200 and 300 euros, respectively. 52.5 percent of respondents disagree with him.

More than half of the unvaccinated respondents (50.6 percent) would choose to pay a 300-euro fine, and 21.4 percent of respondents would prefer to pay part of the medical costs. However, as many as 28 percent of unvaccinated respondents would rather be vaccinated if they had to choose between the two alternatives.

The survey also shows that more respondents agree than do with the current lockdown. Only slightly more than a third of respondents support the general closure of schools. The survey was conducted from 12 to 16 December on a sample of 1000 respondents. It was initiated by the research company MNFORCE, the communication agency Seesame in cooperation with the Institute of Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Social Communication Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
